The Trews 'Do It For Sarnia'

The Trews are returning to Sarnia.

The Canadian rock band will take to the stage at next summer's "Do It For Sarnia" Block Party at Centennial Park.

Bluewater Health Foundation Executive Director Kathy Alexander made the announcement Monday morning on K106.3.

"We're so excited that they accepted our offer. This wouldn't have been possible, first of all, without Dan [Edwards] and his incredible support of mental health, and also the incredible and generous support of Liuna, who have actually signed on to be our presenting sponsor of this year's Block Party," said Alexander.

The 'Do It For Sarnia' campaign, started in 2016 by Dan Edwards, has raised over $85,000 so far for Mental Health and Addiction Services at Bluewater Health.

Edwards has set a $150,000 goal for the campaign, launched in response to the generosity he received from the community following a freak accident in 2006 that left him paralyzed.

Tickets for the June 22 Trews concert and block party at the Suncor Agora are $40 and available online, through the foundation's website.

Printed tickets will be available at a later date.
