Hospital welcomes six new physicians

Bluewater Health is welcoming six new physicians to its staff.

Over the past four months, the hospital has hired Psychiatrist Dr. Obioma Ozumba, Obstetrician/Gynecologist Dr. Laura Allen, Urologist Dr. Dhiraj Dhanjani, two Hospitalists Dr. Adeola Adesanya and Dr. Mark Mousseau, and Internist Dr. Chinyere Iwuala.

Chief of staff Dr. Michel Haddad said the additions will allow the hospital to better meet the needs of the community.

"Some were replacements and some are additions to our medical staff. We always appreciate the extra help to reduce wait time and access services, so they are definitely needed, especially in psychiatry which has been quite a hot topic lately," said Haddad.

Haddad said the physicians were attracted to Bluewater Health for a number of reasons, including the hospital environment, and the cost of living in Sarnia-Lambton.
