UPDATE: St. Clair Township woman dies in two-vehicle crash

One person is dead and two others have been injured following a two-vehicle collision in Plympton-Wyoming.

Lambton OPP said on Thursday at around 8:45 a.m., a pick-up truck travelling east on London Line collided with a passenger car that was travelling west near Fairweather Road.

"At some point, one of the motor vehicles failed to share half the roadway and entered the path of the other," the OPP said in a press release.

A passenger of the pick- up truck, 82-year-old Mary Margaret Mullen of St. Clair Township, was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.

The driver of the pick-up truck, an 85-year-old man from St. Clair Township, and the driver of the passenger car, a 62-year-old woman from Sarnia, were both taken to hospital with moderate injuries.

London Line between Mandaumin Road and Ploughing Match Road was closed for several hours while police conducted an investigation. London Line has since been reopened to traffic.

The OPP West Region Technical Traffic Investigators continue to investigate the crash.
