Halloween events beginning Friday

It's time to grab your broomsticks and spell books for some upcoming Halloween events in Sarnia-Lambton.

Pumpkinpalooza, a pumpkin carving event at Bayside Centre, goes today (Friday) from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

On Saturday, Degroots Nurseries is hosting their 12th annual Fiery Faces Family Fun Day.

You can then moan and groan like the walking dead at Zombiefest put on by the Sarnia Public Library. That begins Saturday at noon with the zombie walk going at 2 p.m.

Reapers Realm Haunted Forest Ride goes for two more nights on Friday and Saturday beginning at 7:30 p.m.

And Evil Dead The Musical began at the Imperial Theatre on Wednesday and goes until Halloween night.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
