Marinaro and Moore-Towers win bronze in Quebec

Sarnia's Michael Marinaro and partner Kirsten Moore-Towers won the bronze medal in pairs at the Skate Canada Inernational in Laval, Quebec Saturday.

The duo finished third in both the short and free skate programs.

The Canadians finished less than a point behind the second place team of Cheng Peng and Yan Jin of China.

The French pair, James Vanessa and Morgan Cipres, won gold.

Earlier this season Marinaro and Moore-Towers won the bronze medal at the Autumn Classic International and silver at the Finlandia Trophy.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
