New Taco Bell under construction

Construction is underway on a new Taco Bell in Sarnia.

Crews are on site at Eastland Plaza on Indian Road, laying the foundation for the 1,800 square foot building.

Owner and President of Curran Capital Development Corporation, Taylor Curran, said the Taco Bell will be a stand-alone building with a drive-through.

"The foundation is being poured and hope to be closed in the next four to six weeks, prior to winter, and early next year be open for business," said Curran.

Curran said they're still exploring options and offers for the south side of the property, formerly home to the Buck or Two store.

Various other renovations were recently completed at the plaza, including a new roof.

Curran said while construction is underway, other businesses will remain open as usual.
