Winter parking restrictions return in city

Sarnia's overnight parking restrictions for the winter come back into effect early Thursday morning.

Parking our vehicles on city streets is now prohibited between 2 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. until March 31.

Bylaw enforcement supervisor Adam MacDonald said anyone parked on the street during that time will be ticketed.

"Overnight, on-street parking restrictions enable the city to conduct necessary snow removal work throughout months where snowfall is expected," said MacDonald.

This past May, council decided to get rid of April enforcement starting in 2019.
