Winter hydro rates in effect

Winter time-of-use hydro rates are in effect as of November 1.

Director of Regulatory and Customer Service Leslie Dugas said during off-peak hours you'll pay 6.5 cents per kilowatt hour and mid-peak hours you'll pay 9.4 cents.

"Mid-peak pricing is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and off-peak pricing is always 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. and on weekends. So we encourage customers to take note of the changes during the winter months," said Dugas.

Peak hour costs of 13.2 cents per kilowatt hour are in between 7 a.m to 11 a.m and 5pm to 7 p.m.

Summer time-of-use rates return May 1.
