Sarnia police collecting for the Inn

Sarnia officers are hoping to stuff their cruisers Saturday for a good cause.

It's the 6th annual "Cops for Cans'.

Constable Nelson Amaral said the donations collected will be donated to the Inn of the Good Shepherd.

"It will take place in the two usual spots in front of Wal-Mart on Quinn Drive and in front of the Real Canadian Superstore on Murphy Road," said Amaral. "Sarnia police cruisers will be parked at both lots near the entrances with emergency lights activated so they're easy to spot."

The event is on from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Since the Sanria Police Service started the Cops for Cans drive, over 28,000 pounds of food has been collected for those in need.
