A 20-year-old woman, who allegedly refused to dump out a beer, now faces charges including assaulting a police officer.

Sarnia police say officers responding to a disturbance at around 9:20 p.m. Saturday, saw a man and woman walking westbound on Bright Street drinking beer.

Police say an officer tried to take the beer from the woman to dispose of it when she became belligerent and began fighting with officers when they tried to arrest her.
