Sarnia police investigate threats to local schools

Sarnia police have a suspect in custody after schools in the local public and Catholic boards received threats on Wednesday.

The Youth Branch and Criminal Investigation Branch investigated and arrested a suspect from outside of Lambton County.

Officers have been sent to pick up the accused and return him to Sarnia to face charges.

Police don't believe there's any threat to public safety.

They hope to have further information to share on Friday morning as the investigation continues.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
