A campaign has been launched by family and friends of a slain Sarnia woman, opposing her killer's attempt to gain full parole.
Jeremy Molitor's first application is to be considered during an upcoming closed-door hearing.
Molitor was sentenced in March of 2005, at age 27, to life in prison with no chance of parole for 14 years.
He was convicted in late 2004 of second-degree murder in the death of 21-year-old Jessica Nethery.
Nethery's body was found on May 4, 2002 in her car in a laneway at the Kenwick apartment building. She had been stabbed 58 times.
Molitor was granted day parole in 2015 and currently lives in British Columbia.
Family friend Tracy MacDonald is encouraging people to write to the parole board.
"There's an email that people can email letters to, that can be read on our behalf," said MacDonald. "Nobody can physically go to the hearing."
MacDonald said Jessica doesn't get a second chance, so her murderer shouldn't.
"He's already been out on day parole for a couple of years now, he really hasn't served justice as far as I'm concerned, so I don't think he should be granted full parole," she said.
