Lady Lion is OCAA female athlete of the week

Lambton College's Christine Fleischer has been named the OCAA female athlete of the week.

The Sarnia native had 24 points and 15 rebounds in the Lady Lions 55-46 win over Niagara on Friday. She also had the double-double (19 points, 10 rebounds) in Saturdays 70-46 win over Mohawk College, giving her four double-doubles on the season.

Fleischer has 115 points in nine games this season.

Lambton is 5-4 so far this year, a far cry from the 2-18 record in the 2017-18 season. With ten points, they're tied with St Clair and Niagara for the third spot in the OCAA West Division, two points behind Humber and four back of Fanshawe and Sheridan College.

Lambton's next game is Saturday, December 1 when they take on the University of Toronto in Mississauga.
