Significant cocaine bust in Sarnia

A Sarnia police investigation into drug trafficking in the city has resulted in the seizure of 137 grams of cocaine.

While conducting surveillance just after 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Vice Unit officers observed a drug deal at a London Road shopping centre.

As a result, a man and woman were arrested and 15.5 grams of cocaine in individual packages was allegedly found on the male.

A search warrant was then executed at a residence in the 1100 block of Afton Drive where police said another 121.5 grams of cocaine was seized.

The total value of the drugs is estimated at $16,600.

Shawn Patrick Roy, 41, is charged with trafficking a schedule one substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Darlene Dawn Nordahl, 34, is charged with trafficking a schedule one substance, and possession of a schedule one substance.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
