Sting trade goaltender to Generals

The Sarnia Sting hockey club has traded goaltender Aidan Hughes to the Oshawa Generals in exchange for a draft pick.

Sarnia Sting General Manager Nick Sinclair announced the trade on Monday. The Sting will receive the Generals' ninth-round draft pick in 2021.

“On behalf of the entire Sarnia Sting hockey club I would like to thank Aidan for his dedication to the Sting program over the past three seasons and wish him the best in Oshawa with the Generals," said Sinclair in a media release.

Hughes was originally drafted by the Sting in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection and has spent three and a half seasons in Sarnia.  He has played a total of 61 games for the Sting, recording 25 wins.
