Three injured in serious Plympton-Wyoming crash

A man and two young boys were injured in a serious crash just south of Wyoming Thursday evening.

Lambton OPP say they responded at around 6:30 p.m. to a collision between a pick-up truck and a car at Oil Heritage Road and Churchill Line.

Constable Chris Doupe said there were significant injuries.

"The passengers of the sedan, a 41-year-old male, and five and eight-year-old young boys, had to be extricated from the vehicle by the fire and ambulance personnel and taken to hospital," said Doupe.

He said an initial investigation revealed that the pick-up truck was travelling south on Oil Heritage Road approaching Churchill Line, and a mid-sized sedan, was on Churchill Line which is governed by a stop sign, when the collision occurred.

OPP West Region Technical Traffic Investigators were called in and the intersection was closed until about 1:30 a.m.

The investigation continues.
