New Years Day open and closed

Here's a list of what's open and closed on New Years Day:

  • Post Office:- Closed no mail delivery (Tues January 1)
  • Sarnia Transit:- Regular Service to 6:15pm Mon Dec 31 then special New Years Eve buses (Free) 6:15pm to 2:45am (No buses Tues Jan 1)
  • Banks & Trust companies:- Closed Tues Jan 1
  • Beer & LCBO Stores:- Closed at 6pm Mon Dec 31st, Closed Tues Jan 1
  • Stores:- Most closed Tues Jan 1
  • Government Offices: (Provincial, Federal) Closed on Tues Jan 1
  • Sarnia City Hall: Closed Mon. Dec. 31 & Tues. Jan. 1
  • Garbage Collection:- (Sarnia) No collection Tues Jan 1 (Deferred one day with regular collection ending Sat instead of Fri)
  • Schools:- Classes resume Mon Jan 7
