Man arrested on several outstanding warrants

Sarnia police have arrested a man wanted on several outstanding warrants.

Around 5 a.m. Saturday, officers were attempting to locate a man in the Roger Street area wanted on warrants including the use of a stolen credit card, breaches and failing to attend court.

Officers spotted the suspect leaving a residence and when they attempted to arrest him, he allegedly fled on a bicycle.

An officer with the Community Orientated Police Problem Solving Unit (COPPS) was able to keep up and followed the suspect, who was eventually taken into custody.

Jason James Gordon, 36, of Sarnia has been charged with resisting an officer, possession of break and enter tools and possession of a stolen credit card.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
