Police seek witnesses to strange encounter

Sarnia police are looking for witnesses as they investigate a brazen incident Friday.

A woman reported to police that when she had stopped her vehicle around 10 a.m. on Murphy Road at Wiltshire Drive for a red light, a man tried to open the passenger side door.

Police said the man's attempt to enter the vehicle was unsuccessful and the woman immediately left the area in her red Chevrolet Cruze, and headed south on Murphy Road.

The woman told police she believes there were witnesses to the encounter.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
