Traffic infractions lead to two impaired driving charges

Lambton OPP have charged two people with impaired driving after each was caught committing a traffic infraction.

Around 11 p.m Tuesday, police responded to a single vehicle crash on Lakeview Avenue in which a Grand Bend woman struck a tree.

A breath sample indicated the 61-year-old was over three times the legal limit.

Then around 2 a.m. Wednesday, a 25-year-old Sarnia man was stopped for a driving infraction on Indian Road.

His breath sample indicated he was over twice the legal limit.

Each driver is set to appear in court February 11.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
