Stings' Rees to play for Team Cherry

The rosters have been announced for the CHL's top prospects game, and one of the teams will feature a member of the Sarnia Sting.

Forward Jamieson Rees was named to Team Cherry earlier this month. The 17-year-old  was among the 40 CHL skaters selected to the Sherwin-Williams Top Prospects Game in December -- the game is set for January 23 from Red Deer at 10 p.m.

Team Cherry will be coached by Ron MacLean, Dave Hunter and Brent Sutter. At the other end of the rink, Team Orr will be coached by Kelly Hrudey, Robyn Regehr and Marc Habscheid.

In 21 games this season with Sarnia, Rees has eight goals and 11 assists. The Hamilton native also scored the teddy-bear-toss-goal for the Sting earlier in the season.
