Crash closes westbound 402 in Sarnia

Westbound Highway 402 was closed Thursday night following a crash at Christina Street.

The OPP reported initially via Twitter that multiple vehicles were involved and emergency services including EMS had responded.

Photos from the scene show at least two transport trucks involved in a rear-end collision.

While the crash initially resulted in only a lane closure, all westbound lanes were closed for around an hour until about 9:15 p.m when police reopened one lane. All lanes were reopened just after 11 p.m.

Further information was not immediately available.
