Possible flaring at Imperial

Imperial is advising the public of possible elevated flaring at its Sarnia manufacturing site.

Imperial issued a news release Friday night that said the company was in the process of restarting a process unit at the site, which could cause flaring as it's brought back online.

"A dedicated team of personnel is working to ensure safety is the primary focus of this restart," the company said in the release. "We appreciate the patience of the community as we work to return the site to normal operations."

No further information has been released at this time.
