Portion of trail to close for pole replacement

A portion of the Howard Watson Nature Trail will be closed for hydro pole replacement.

The trail will be shut down from Highway 402 to Michigan Avenue Thursday, January 31 and Friday, February 1 from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Tree trimming will take place those days in preparation for pole replacement the following week.

Starting February 4, until February 15, the same section of trail will be closed daily from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., excluding the weekend.

During that time Bluewater Power will remove and replace the hydro poles.

The power utility expects there'll be minimal environmental damage to the trail, and will coordinate any necessary restoration.
