Sting break road slump, hammer Colts

The Sarnia Sting won on the road for the first time in regulation since December 6 in Windsor.

The Sting beat the Colts 7-2 in OHL action Thursday night.

Sean Josling led the way with a pair of goals. Jacob Perreault, Brayden Guy, Calvin Martin, Franco Sproviero and Mitch Eliot also scored for the Sting.

Jamieson Rees and Hugo Leufvenius each had two assists.

Sting goalie Cameron Lamour was solid, turning aside 35 of 37 shots faced. Kai Edmonds made 23 saves on 30 shots for the Colts.

With the win, the Sting now have 49 points on the year. They're sixth place in the Western Conference standings, two up on Kitchener and one behind Owen Sound.

The Sting will head to Sudbury Saturday and North Bay on Sunday.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
