Toronto fraud suspect believed to be in Sarnia

Police say a woman wanted in a fraud investigation in Toronto could be in the Sarnia area.

Toronto police say the suspect applied for a $500,000 mortgage on a property.

The mortgage was registered, and she received about $470,000 through a real estate lawyer.

Once she deposited the money, it was determined she had allegedly impersonated the real property owner using a fake ID.

Anyone with information is asked to call Toronto police or Crime Stoppers.
