UPDATE: Single vehicle crash in Dawn-Euphemia

A 26-year-old man suffered minor injuries when a pick-up truck smashed into a hydro pole and rolled on Bentpath Line in Dawn-Euphemia.

Lambton OPP responded to the scene between Oil Heritage Road and Esterville Road around 7:45 p.m. Monday.

Police say the crash caused the hydro pole to split in half, and live hydro lines collapsed on the road.

The driver and lone occupant managed to escape the wreckage by forcibly breaking and exiting the rear window of the pick-up truck.

Hydro One has since repaired the pole and downed wires, and the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact Lambton OPP at 519-882-1011 or Sarnia-Lambton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
