Sarnia man faces child pornography charges

A 41-year-old Sarnia man is facing child pornography charges in an investigation by city police and the OPP.

Police say the investigation began on November 4, 2018, when members of the OPP's Child Exploitation Unit discovered that an IP address in Sarnia was involved in the exchange of suspected child pornography.

The Sarnia police Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Investigation Unit executed a search warrant at a local residence around 8 a.m. on December 19.

Police allegedly seized evidence related to the crime and a male was arrested and charged.

Christopher Arthur Brown, 41, of Sarnia is facing charges for possession of child pornography, distribution of child pornography, and accessing child pornography.

According to police, there does not appear to appear to be any local victims.
