Gladu representing Sarnia-Lambton Conservatives again

Marilyn Gladu will once again be Sarnia-Lambton's Conservative representative in this fall's federal election.

The local MP recently won the nomination by acclamation.

She was elected in 2015 and is the opposition critic for health and chair of the Standing Committee on Status of Women.

Gladu said she has a lot to be proud of during her first term.

"You know, I've brought about $160 million of funding from the federal government to Sarnia-Lambton for various different things," said Gladu. "That includes the bio-innovation centre and some of the bio-plants that have come out of that. I'm also pleased to see the oversized load corridor get going, and the palliative care private members' bill was another highlight for me."

The federal election is being held on October 21.

The representatives for the other parties haven't been announced.
