Local cannabis dispensary robbed at gunpoint

Sarnia police have two men in custody after a local cannabis dispensary was robbed at gunpoint last Wednesday morning.

Police said suspects armed with a shotgun fled with a large number of cannabis products and cash in a pickup truck stolen from a local business.

Constable John Sottosanti said the exact location of the pot dispensary is not being released publicly for investigative reasons.

Michael Derrick Williams, 33, and Michael John Garner, 35, both of Sarnia, were held in custody after being charged with robbery-related offences.

A third suspect has yet to be identified and the shotgun has not yet been recovered.

Anyone with information about the possible location of the firearm are asked to contact Detective Kent Jamieson at 519-344-8861 ext. 6221, or Sarnia Lambton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Williams and Garner are also facing charges in connection with a major drug bust last week on Christina Street South.

A large quantity of marijuana was seized but police aren't making a connection to the robbery at this time.
