The Petrolia & North Enniskillen Fire Department reported the blaze shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Parkside Drive.
Fire officials said light smoke could be seen in the garage and inside the home where firefighters arrived, and the fire was discovered to be inside a wall and crawl space. The fire was quickly put out.
No injuries have been reported.
A damage estimate and the cause of the fire have not been released at this time.
Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
