EA approved for The Rapids Parkway extension

It's still a long way off but plans to extend The Rapids Parkway to Exmouth Street are moving forward.

Sarnia council approved a $102,000 contract for IBI Group to conduct an environmental assessment.

The assessment is to ensure environmental legislative requirements are observed for the project, and a unique and separated Howard Watson Nature Trail is maintained.

Development around The Rapids Parkway was designed with the intention of eventually extending the road from Sandpiper Drive, underneath Highway 402, to Exmouth Street.
