Traffic stops leads to significant drug bust

A traffic stop led to a significant drug bust in Sarnia.

Last Thursday, city police officers with the vice and COPPS units stopped a vehicle as part of an ongoing trafficking investigation.

Constable John Sottosanti said the driver and vehicle were searched and over eight ounces of methamphetamine, with an estimated street value of $22,600, was seized.

"The quantity of methamphetamine seized in this matter is a significant amount of methamphetamine and will affect the current supply in the city," said Sottosanti.

Thomas David Deline, 30, of Sarnia was in custody awaiting a bail hearing on a charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
