Win this space

A local entrepreneur will be getting some help with one of the most challenging parts of starting up a business.

The Sarnia-Lambton Business Development Corporation has launched a contest to win a storefront space in Lambton County for a year.

General Manager Don Anderson said applicants will have to present a fully executable business plan.

"As much as anything, it's all about thoroughness and taking the time to go through and identify your competition, identify where your opportunities are to be successful and show where you're going to make money," he said.

Anderson said the winner will also get a one-year membership with the Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce. He said that presents a great chance to network with other businesses and potential clients and suppliers.

Those interested in applying can visit www.winlambton.com until March 21. The winner will be selected during a live presentation on May 16.
