Drugs, stolen property seized during traffic stop

Lambton OPP seized stolen property and break and enter tools during a traffic stop in Plympton-Wyoming Sunday night.

Police stopped a vehicle in the area of Michigan Line and Camlachie Road around 11:30 p.m. to check on the driver's sobriety.

Upon speaking with the driver and passenger, officers formed grounds to arrest the pair for possession of a narcotic.

A 42-year-old and 27-year-old man, both from Sarnia, are charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, possession of break-in instruments, possession of a prohibited device, and failing to comply with court orders.

The 27-year-old is also charged with failing to wear a seatbelt and failing to surrender a driver's licence.

Both were being held in custody pending bail hearings.
