Fire at NOVA Chemicals Moore site

There was increased flaring Wednesday night and early Thursday morning after a fire at Nova Chemicals Moore site.

In an audio message on the Community Awareness and Emergency Response Line, company spokesperson Meaghan Lawrence said a small fire broke out in a low-density unit at the Moore polyethylene plant.

"The event resulted in elevated flaring with no other offsite impact," she said.

The all-clear was issued a short time later.
