Well-being check leads to charge against woman

Sarnia police say a 44-year-old London woman is charged after they found a person in a car with a half-empty bottle of wine and the engine running.

Officers responded to the area of Vimy Crescent and Massey Crescent at around 2 p.m. Saturday to check on a woman's well-being after being told by witnesses that she had been sitting in a vehicle for about an hour.

Police said the woman was distraught. She was charged with failing to comply with a demand to supply a breath sample after several efforts to do so failed.
