Hazardous materials leak in 402 crash (GALLERY)

No injuries are reported after a messy crash on the westbound Highway 402 near Christina Street Monday morning

Sarnia Fire and Rescue, Point Edward Fire and Lambton OPP responded at around 9 a.m to a collision involving two transport trucks.

A Chemical Valley Emergency Coordinating Organization (CVECO) alert was issued for a spill of resin.

The Sarnia Fire HAZ-MAT team responded along with Imperial's foam truck to assist in the clean-up.

The westbound highway was closed between Christina Street and Front Street for several hours. The highway was reopened to traffic shortly before 8 p.m.

The investigation is ongoing.
