Call for medical help leads to stolen property charges

A call for medical assistance on Sunday afternoon turned up stolen property.

Lambton OPP responded to the 3000 block of Aberfeldy Line in Enniskillen Township around 4:20 p.m.

Once they arrived and took care of the medical issue, they allegedly found stolen property in the house and adjacent property.

On Monday, the OPP Community Street Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the home. They seized various stolen items including a pick-up truck, motorcycle, shot guns, power tools, licence plates and lottery tickets.

A 25-year-old man and 27-year-old woman, both from Enniskillen Township, are charged with two counts each of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, two counts each of careless storage of a firearm, and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

The man is also charged with failing to comply with a court order.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
