Job fair targets seasonal workers

A number of local companies are looking for seasonal workers.

There's a job fair on Tuesday in Camlachie.

Lambton College Community Employment Service's Dave Gibbons said about a dozen employers are looking to hire for seasonal positions including Arkona Fairways Golf Club, Gateway Casinos and Lyndon Security Services.

"Bring your resume, social insurance number and photo i.d because you're going to be interviewed by the employers," said Gibbons. "I would also recommend you come out and get registered with us because if you don't get a job at the job fair, we may have the potential to find you work with another employer."

Tuesday's job fair is on from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Camlachie Community Centre at 6767 Camlachie Rd.
