Assault with weapon charge in Plympton-Wyoming confrontation

A 30-year-old man faces a number of charges including assault with a weapon following an incident in Plympton-Wyoming.

Lambton OPP said officers responded to the 4000 block of Douglas Line at around 2 p.m. on Monday to investigate reports of a confrontation between two men.

Police say a 37-year-old male took shelter in a pickup truck while another man struck the vehicle with a weapon trying to assault him.

The OPP have not disclosed what the weapon was.

Nicholas John Keddy, of no fixed address, is also charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, mischief over $5,000, possession of a narcotic, and seven counts of failing to comply with a court order.

He was being held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
