Donations flow to MS through toilet prank campaign

The inaugural FlushMS fundraising event collected over $15,000 for the MS Society of Canada.

Over two days, 192 toilet prank deliveries were made across Sarnia-Lambton.

The April Fool's Day fundraiser was organized by Team Cowbell, the largest team in the 2018 Grand Bend to London MS Bike Tour, and say plans are already in the works for next year.

"We are amazed with the response from our community,” said Anita Trusler, MS bike captain for Team Cowbell. "Teachers, co-workers, neighbours, businesses, friends and families united with a common goal; to help end MS by pranking it forward with unconventionally themed toilets."

The fundraising activities were kicked off with a sold-out event at Huron Oaks on March 30. A team of 10 volunteers completed the toilet prank deliveries on March 31 and April 1, throughout Petrolia, Corunna, Wyoming, Camlachie, Bright’s Grove and Sarnia.
