Seven charged in cocaine trafficking investigations

Sarnia police have charged seven people in two investigations into alleged cocaine trafficking in the city.

Police executed a search warrant at a home in the 200 block of Russell Street South just before 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Officers seized a quantity of cocaine and currency, and four people were taken into custody.

Michelle Lee Havers, 42, and Alissa Jordan Havers, 24, are each charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. Two men, aged 25 and 24, are charged with possession of cocaine.

At around 11 a.m. Thursday, vice officers were doing surveillance in a parking lot in the 800 block of Devine Street.

A few hours later, they saw an alleged drug deal and arrested three suspects.

David Earl Thompson, 45, Kevin Alan Thompson, 42, and Michael Peter Andrew-Sutherland, 20, are each charged with trafficking cocaine.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
