Principal Melissa St-Denis said the former logo, a flame, dated back to before she was a student at the school.

"It's been a while since they had something new and fresh," said St-Denis. "The falcon represents success, it's the most powerful bird of all. It represents a clean environment, the blue represents our lakes and the the yellow represents the spirit -- because we are a catholic school."

275 students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6 attend the school, some from as far as Grand Bend, Camlachie and Corunna.
