Drowning on St. Clair River

A 79-year-old man died Saturday after his vehicle went into the St Clair River outside a riverside restaurant in Marysville, Michigan.

Police say they arrived on scene at around 3 p.m. and an hour later dive crews located the man and the vehicle.

He died while being transported to hospital by ambulance.

Police believe the victim was adjusting his parking brake in a handicapped space at the Junction Buoy Restaurant across from the Shell dock and somehow lost control of the vehicle.
