Sarnia teen facing stunt driving, pot charges

A Sarnia teen faces stunt driving and pot charges following a traffic stop in Plympton-Wyoming just before 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Lambton OPP conducting radar enforcement on Highway 402 near Mandaumin Road stopped a vehicle travelling more than 50 kilometres per hour above the posted 100 kilometres per hour limit.

An 18-year-old male is charged with racing a motor vehicle at excessive speed, driving with cannabis readily available, and possessing cannabis underage. His driver's licence was also suspended for seven days.

He'll appear in Provincial Offences Court on May 23 to answer to the charges.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
