Greenshields helps Canada win World Women's Rugby Sevens Series

Sarnia's Julia Greenshields and Canada's Women's Sevens Rugby team took home the first place trophy at the World Women's Rugby Sevens Series in Japan Sunday.

Greenshields, a graduate of St. Clair Secondary School and the Sarnia Saints program, scored a try in a 24-12 win over the U-S in the semifinals.

In the final Canada downed England 7-5 to capture the cup.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
