Beach cleanup planned to mark Earth Day

A beach cleanup was planned Monday evening to mark Earth Day.

Great Lakes Refill Company and Kombucha Hound have organized the shoreline cleanup at Canatara Park.

The event runs from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Participants are asked to bring a pair of gloves, pail or bucket and reusable trash bags.

This Saturday, April 27, the city and Nova Chemicals will host the fifth annual Community Parks Clean-Up Day at area parks, trails and public spaces.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
