Police crack down on illegal left turns at Walmart

City police are cracking down on drivers making an illegal turn into the Sarnia Walmart plaza.

In response to complaints from drivers and businesses in the area, officers issued 21 tickets in a very short time Thursday for disobeying a "No left Turn" sign on Quinn Drive.

Each ticket carries a fine of $110 and two demerit points.

Police say drivers are to use the main entrance when entering the plaza because the illegal turn is unsafe and causes unnecessary traffic congestion.
