Golden arches coming to Petrolia

Iconic golden arches will soon welcome people in the Town of Petrolia.

Town council has approved a site plan agreement to build a new McDonald's restaurant, Shell gas station and car wash at the southeast corner of Petrolia Line and Oil Heritage Road.

Town Communications Director Laurissa Ellsworth said a construction date hasn't been announced.

"We don't have a clear timeline at this moment, but once we approve a site plan, working with the county, construction isn't always very long after that," said Ellsworth. "It starts fairly quickly once things are approved and in place and I would expect the same to be true for this project."

The owner of an Ontario numbered company [2553050] is developing the lands.
